While the World is waiting for the Mueller Report to be released and the vote to happen for Brexit, the latest trailer for Godzilla: King of the Monsters dropped. Yes, yes…not as important. However, all I could say was, “Is that Rodan?!?!? Was that Mothra?!?!? Is this Japan?!?!?!? As you can tell, it is a must watch:
While Netflix is purging all of their competitor’s content on their streaming platform, they are getting all of their ducks in a row. First, they announced that their animated series for Carmen Sandiego, which will focus on new criminals and how Carmen became Carmen. Mark your calendars, if you are a globetrotting crime-fighter at heart.
Netflix also dropped the trailer for the final season of A Series of Unfortunate Events:
Bits and Bobs:
With notice that Constance Wu will be in a romantic comedy for Screen Gems, Jennifer Lopez’ Second Act coming up (and it is a fun and sweet little movie), everyone still wowed by Widows, and talk of Tiffany Haddish possibly being the host of Academy Awards…it looks like we are in the time of Being a Woman of Color is the best thing to be.
NASA offered assistance in saving Tony Stark after the Avengers: Endgame trailer came out last week.
Recap: Elseworlds: Part 2
Well…Barry is still Oliver Queen aka Green Arrow and Star City is falling apart due to the red skies. Diggle is right, whenever Supergirl, Green Arrow, and The Flash are together…there is a problem. What’s funny is that Oliver thinks Batman is an Urban Legend and he is facing speed force issues. We saw the Wayne Enterprises building!
Soooooooooo…Oliver’s reputation proceed’s him when they make it to Gotham…which is a city where people travel by armored car. Apparently, Wayne left Gotham three year’s ago and Kate Kane has bailed them out. While this is happening, Cait is consoling Felicity about why Oliver did not tell her about the body swapping?
Kara finds out from Kate that Deegan is a doctor at Arkham and that is where the trip heads to next. We then cut to Kate going into the bowels of the Wayne Enterprise building to go get her Batgirl outfit.
Ruby Rose is not bad as a superhero.
The Brainiac team tells the supes that they have to get “the book.” They find Deegan and he knows Oliver is Oliver and then sets off the alarm that buys him time to escape. The alarm just opened every door to all the cells.
Wow…Reverse Flash and Malcolm Merlyn show up. Basically, all hell is breaking loose in Gotham. However, they are not really there. Basically, Oliver and Barry are fighting each other. Kate stops them from killing each other due to inhaling a powerful hallucinogenic. This moment allows the two friends to learn of the burdens that both of them carry and thus a greater appreciation grows for one another.
And…Kara and Kate have a moment. Will this mean that possibly they may cross paths again? I think everyone wants that.
With the book in tow, team Freaky Friday head back to Star City.
Oliver has a moment with Felicity and tells her that no matter what, she is the love of his life. Very sweet moment where she knows that this man in front of her is her Oliver. Apparently, all they needed was a much needed heart-to-heart. I hope this carries over to their own normal timeline.
Barry from Earth 90 shows up and explains the devious plan of the Monitor that revolves around a “Crisis.” He wants to save the multiverse from someone. Who?
Now, they are in a new world where Oliver and Barry are in robbers in Central City (snazzy outfits). They have no powers and dark Superman is the hero of this world. How are they going to get themselves out of this mess?
Next: Supergirl, The Flash, Green Arrow and Superman face the battle of their lives.
