Synopsis: Joe and Iris must decide how far they’re willing to go to keep Barry out of prison as his trial for the murder of Clifford DeVoe begins.
You know, I know that the people behind the show has really tried to regain some of the fun of first couple of seasons. This episode may not be an example of that, but it was a great episode.
Like Iris and Barry, we are not totally sure of what the Devoe’s plans are for the city. However, they made it abundantly clear that with The Flash in jail, they will be able to do whatever they want.
However, seeing Iris and Barry struggle to maintain their strength in this time of adversity is heart breaking. These two really cannot catch a break. But, knowing that Barry is willing to go to jail to protect Iris and all those he loves…shows you what kind of hero he truly is.
What that means for the team or for the city that Barry loves, only time will tell if they will survive Barry’s lifetime imprisonment.
There were a couple of highlights in this episode:
- Cisco and Caitlin have their groove back and with a little coaxing now know how to somewhat work together as a team.
- Ralph giving the desperate Joe a pep talk that keeps this Dad, who wants to keep his son safe, in check.
Next episode: The Elongated Knight Rises – A familiar villain returns to terrorize Central City; Ralph must rise up to defend the innocent while Barry is detained by his trial; Barry searches for the strength to keep his optimism alive in the face of his new circumstances.
